Joshua Milligan

Often the things we want as children change as we mature. But not always  and certainly not with Joshua. Many summers he spent with me when he was young. Soon after graduating from high school he came to see me and told me he was going to New Orleans to play the blues.

Well, he did. He met a blues man named Mem Shannon and became part of his band traveling to many parts of the world. No matter who he was with or where he went, he always kept music in his head, but mostly and surely in his heart. He kept writing his songs after he gave up the gypsy lifestyle!

He found love and marriage with a southern belle from Mississippi, a fine and proper lady. They have two sons and live in Asheville, North Carolina and he works as a land surveyor.

A while back he called and told me he knew a man who knew a man and was invited to travel to Nashville, TN and record some of his music.

Well, here it is - another part of a life long dream that I'm sure will be on going!
